I studied in Amsterdam for a year and I fell in love with the city. At first I thought Amsterdam was too touristic and crowded… but I was wrong. Of course you got the crowded places full of tourists but Amsterdam is so much more. You have different neighbourhoods just outside the city centre. Here you’ll find the best restaurants, the hippest clothing stores and the best Instagram spots 😉 .
Today I went, together with my friend Lisa and her friend Tjerk, to see some more of Amsterdam. Our first stop was at the ‘Zevenlanden huizen’. These are seven houses lined up next to each other, with each house representing an architectural style from a different European country. After this we just walked through the streets of ‘De Pijp’ (a really nice neighbourhood) and shot some photos. We quickly stopped at the ‘Wake me up when I’m famous’ sign before dinner.
We had dinner at the Bazar. Murals & chandeliers adorn this bustling converted church. They serve delicious African & Middle Eastern dishes.
Unfortunately I have to go back now but I can’t wait to live in Amsterdam again after the summer!
